Solid number banknotes in Trigometric Auction 7

Solid number banknotes are some of the main highlights in Trigometric Auction 7 which will be held on 15 March 2018 at Hilton Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The biannual numismatic auction is held by Trigometric Sdn Bhd, one of the top coin dealers in Malaysia.

One of the solid number banknotes that might be a favourite in the auction is a 20 Ringgit 5th Series Solid 8's signed by Aziz Taha Prefix TE 8888888 in AU-UNC condition. Bidding price for lot 0628 start at RM25,000 and maximum estimate price is RM35,000.

Malaysian fancy number banknotes has become favourite for Malaysian collectors in recent years. Last year in Trigometric Auction 5, some of the fancy banknotes top the auction result. Malaysia Central Bank (BNM) also held their own personal auction for Malaysia fancy number banknotes and making millions from their auction and sales.

  • Lot 0636: 50 Ringgit 5th Series Solid 8's signed by Aziz Taha Prefix B/94 888888 AU - UNC. Estimate RM18,000-RM23,000.
  • Lot 0661: 100 Ringgit 5th Series No. 1 serial number signed by Aziz Taha prefix ZB 0000001 EF - AU (Very Rare) light foxing. Estimate RM20,000-RM32,000.
  • Lot 0662: 100 Ringgit 6th Series First Prefix, Solid 4's signed by Jaffar Hussein prefix ZT 4444444 PMG 65 EPQ (Very Rare). Estimate RM30,000-RM40,000.
  • Lot 0663: 100 Ringgit 6th Series Replacement, Low number signed by Jaffar Hussein prefix PMG 64 EPQ (Very Rare). Estimate RM45,000-RM70,000.

Bank of China set of 6 uniface obverse and reverse proof on cards (Lot 0292) is the main highlight for world banknotes. A very rare set of proofs (1, 5 and 10 yuan) Shantung, 1918, orange, green and brown respectively, kept in a superb condition, all UNC. pencil writing at back (6pcs). One of the finer. Bidding price start at RM20,000 and maximum estimate price is RM30,000.
